Scale, paddle, kettle, timer, grinder, serving carafe
Weigh out 60g of coffee.
Preheat french press using hot water.
Bring 850g (a little under 4 cups) of water to a boil.
Allow water to rest uncovered for ~1 minute (for a final brewing temperature of 207°).
While water is cooling: grind and dose coffee, set timer for four minutes.
As soon as water is ready: decant water and start timer.
Give your slurry two quick and vigorous stirs with paddle.
Put the top of the press into place, depress slightly, and then release again.
When timer goes off: slowly but firmly depress plunger all the way to the bottom.
Pour coffee into serving carafe.
Adjust grind to taste.
